Join us for Shore Sweep 2026 from 8am to 1pm on Saturday, September 19th! Lake Lanier’s largest annual cleanup brings our community together to remove trash, debris, and abandoned dock floats while helping protect the lake for future generations.

Last year, more than 1,200 volunteers removed a record-breaking 128 tons of trash and debris, including large debris and hundreds of encapsulated dock floats with the help of marine contractors and their barges. Since Shore Sweep began, volunteers have removed more than 2.58 million pounds of trash from Lake Lanier.

Registration is required for every participant, whether participating individually, with a family, or as part of a group. Group leaders should complete the group registration, but all group participants must register individually.
